Player Evaluations

GVLL 2024 Player Evaulations and Regular Season Baseball

Registration for the 2024 baseball season is currently open.

Practices begin in April. Games are played in May & June. There are 4 levels of regular season play.  GVLL Levels of Play are Rookie, Minor B, Minor A and Majors

With the exception of 5 and 6 year-olds (as determined by the official Little League age chart below), who are automatically assigned to Rookie League teams, all players are assigned to a league based solely on their baseball ability as determined by league managers and coaches during player evaluation day.

Player Evaluation Day (PED) for the 2024 season is Saturday, March 16 at the New Hope Community Gym (north side of Robbinsdale Cooper High School). All players ages 7-12 as determined by the official Little League Age Chart below must attend PED. Players aged 5 and 6 do not attend PED. Time slots for each age group are listed below. Please note that your player's official Little League baseball age may differ from their chronological age and attend the correct session for their baseball age. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. There will be a required parent meeting during each evaluation session.

  • 12yo: 8AM
  • 11yo: 9AM
  • 10yo: 10:15AM
  • 9yo: 11:45AM
  • 8yo: 1:15PM
  • 7yo: 2:45PM

We will also be holding our annual gear swap during player evaluations. 5&6 year old parents... please feel free to stop by at any time during evaluations if you're in need of any gear for the upcoming season. The smaller sizes are more commonly found at the gear swap as families commonly donate outgrown items. Donations are not required to take something from the swap.
